Officers from the Police Station in Kruszyn detained a 26-year-old man suspected of committing a series of crimes. Over the past month, the resident of Bolesławiec County committed eight burglaries involving trucks. The man took advantage of long stops by trucks in unlit areas. He broke into trailers and stole the goods being transported. The burglar’s loot included, among other things, courier parcels, clothing and food products.

In addition, at various stations he committed five fuel thefts worth a total of nearly PLN 1,800. He drove up to a pump, refuelled and drove away without paying.

He was also charged with violating a court-ordered ban on driving all motor vehicles, which remains in force until September 2023. The 26-year-old drove a car to commit the thefts and burglaries.

For crimes against property, the suspect faces up to 10 years in prison. Violating the court-ordered ban carries a sentence of up to five years in prison.
