Attention, drivers. On Generała Nila Street in Bolesławiec, road workers have repainted (or changed?) the road markings. At the turn from Nila Street onto Różana Street (the approach from Różana Street to Nila Street), there is a double solid line. If, while driving from the city centre, we turn from Nila Street onto Różana Street and then go directly to the shop or motel, we will cross the double solid line, break the rules and the police may fine us.
Under the regulations, when driving from the city centre, we can reach the shop/motel by turning right a little farther on, past the bus stop and lay-by (at the level of the market) — see the photo below:
However, drivers travelling along DK94 from the direction of Brzeźnik towards the city centre cannot turn directly left into the market or motel when they are level with it — there is also a solid line there.
To do so lawfully, they must continue straight ahead, make a U-turn (for example, at the roundabout near Zgorzelecka Street), and then turn right after the bus stop and lay-by. If they insist, they can also turn onto Różana Street, continue on, make a U-turn, and then turn right towards the motel or shop.
