Good morning. I would like to ask what happened to the PKS bus that used to stop at the WIDOK/CERAMICZNA stop, allowing children from Primary School No. 3 on Ceramiczna Street to get home, for example to Dobra or farther-away places. Is PKS now stopping somewhere else?
We asked PKS Bolesławiec about this.
Here is the response we received:
According to information received from the contractor carrying out the project, temporary traffic organization will be introduced in the area of the works starting on April 28, 2026.
The works are being carried out as part of the project “Expansion of the transport network, including the reconstruction of the existing bridge and construction of a new bridge over the Bóbr River in the town of
Bolesławiec, involving the reconstruction of the existing bridge and construction of a new bridge over the Bóbr River.”
The change will involve:
– narrowing the roadway on national road No. 94, on the approach to the J. Szmajdziński roundabout;
– removing the existing public transport stops on Widok Street and moving them to Gen. A.E. Fieldorfa Nila Street (a section of municipal road);
– introducing a ban on turning right at the intersection of Widok Street and national road No. 94 (toward Zgorzelec);
– introducing a ban on pedestrian traffic on both sides of Widok Street, along the section from the intersection with Ceramiczna Street to the intersection with national road No. 94, and on national road No. 94 from the intersection with Widok Street to the existing signalized pedestrian crossing (right-hand side).
Therefore, the stop where the PKS bus used to stop has been moved from Widok Street to Gen. A.E. Fieldorfa Nila Street.
