Michał “Big Man Tryton” Krauze was a well-known DJ, singer and event organiser. Tryton developed acute lymphoblastic leukaemia. He underwent steroid and chemotherapy treatment in Poznań. Michał’s friends organised a series of concerts, with the proceeds intended to fund his treatment.
Residents of Bolesławiec also joined the campaign. On Monday, 12 April, Tryton lost his battle with the disease. He was 25. The concert planned for 16 April at Concordia was cancelled. Tryton’s friends nevertheless decided to revive the idea of the event—to pay tribute to the artist and raise funds to be given to the family of the deceased, who incurred considerable treatment costs.
On Sunday, 25 April, at Concordia (Orla Street), there will be a charity event with a reggae atmosphere. Performers will include, among others:
- Natural Dread Killaz (Wrocław)—a reggae music star, performing in Bolesławiec for the first time
- Method Massiv (Nowa Sól/Wrocław/Żagań)
- Full Spontan Positive Sound (Bolesławiec)
- Garbaty
It starts at 7:00 p.m.. Admission will cost 15 zł. The IstotneInformacje.pl service is the event’s media patron.
The event is organised by the Via Sudetica association, Fontanna Kultur Alternatywnych and friends. The organisers thank El Toro, Opałkowa Chata restaurant, Piwnica Paryska and WYPAS! studio for their support.
