– Shortly after 4 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon, the duty officer at the District Police Headquarters in Polkowice was notified of a road incident that occurred on provincial road 328, near Chocianów. Officers who arrived at the scene initially determined that a 41-year-old resident of Polkowice, who was driving a passenger Fiat, had, as a result of failing to adjust his speed to the traffic conditions and losing control of the vehicle, driven into a roadside ditch, where his car then hit a tree – reports Junior Asp. The injuries suffered by the 41-year-old were serious. After receiving immediate medical assistance, the man was taken to a hospital in Legnica. Unfortunately, the efforts of the police officers, rescuers and doctors proved unsuccessful. Spokesperson: – The driver died in his hospital bed three hours after the accident.
