The problem of vandalism, stupidity and boorishness is unfortunately growing. The city is constantly struggling with it. In addition, these incidents generate costs that we all bear. After all, someone has to pay to repair all this.
We receive photographs from our readers showing damaged bus shelters, fences and information boards. Public facilities are being destroyed. Although the acts of vandalism are reported to the police, the proceedings are most often discontinued. The reason? The perpetrators cannot be identified. Almost always, there are no witnesses to the destruction and vandalism, meaning, no one saw anything, no one heard anything
Some residents do not want to react or cooperate with the police even when they see or hear such behavior. Perhaps they simply do not want so-called problems, thinking, they'll be dragging me around afterward for testimony or they are simply afraid.
Meanwhile, this emboldens vandals, who continue to destroy their surroundings. Is there any way to prevent this?
