The Bolesławiec court sentenced a German national who caused a tragic car accident to six years in prison, a ten-year driving ban and PLN 50,000 in compensation.
The incident occurred last year near Czerna. The German was driving drunk and collided with a Trabant. One person died at the scene, while another died in hospital.
"The case was obvious. The court did not appoint an expert," said district prosecutor Adam Zieliński. The judgment is not final. The German's defense attorneys have announced an appeal.
