During the exercises, firefighters from the WSP of the 10th Armored Cavalry Brigade in Świętoszów, PSP Bolesławiec, WSP Dobre nad Kwisą and PSP Żagań were assigned to the rescue operation. The duty officer’s assistant reported that two people were inside the building of the headquarters battalion on the second floor and could not leave via the staircase. The company duty officer also did not leave the complex. He tried to put out the fire.
The firefighters evacuated everyone inside the building, including the company duty officer, who lost consciousness. Unit:
The purpose of the exercise was to improve the skills of officers, soldiers and RON employees in responding to a fire. The performance of the duty services of the military unit and the alarm subunit in carrying out the tasks assigned to them in the fire protection plan was also improved. The readiness of the operational forces and resources designated to support rescue operations for the military unit was checked.
