It is now certain. Marked police cars will be improved. The fact that this would happen had been discussed for a long time. As the website auto-swiat.pl reported last November:
The Ministry of Infrastructure (MI) has not completely abandoned its plans to change the markings on police cars. The new idea became widely discussed more than a year ago [czyli w 2020 r. – przyp. istotne.pl], when police cars with the proposed markings were presented. Now the subject is quietly returning, and information published in the ministry’s legislative work register indicates that a regulation on the matter will be issued in the first quarter of 2022.
Yellow stripes will appear on marked police cars. Why? Studies have shown that this will increase their visibility by as much as 30 percent, thereby improving the safety of both the officers themselves and other road users.
