What can be done to encourage Bolesławiec residents to take better care of their surroundings? The idea is simple. The city municipality will sell land around buildings cheaply.

Until now, people bought land in the city centre only beneath the building because it was cheaper that way. The plots surrounding the properties belonged to someone else. As a result, when owners wanted to renovate a building, they had to arrange the placement of scaffolding on someone else’s land.

The inexpensive sale of land directly adjacent to multi-family buildings benefits not only residents but also the city. In many cases, this will release the City Municipality of Bolesławiec from the need to maintain areas that cannot be built on and are criss-crossed by technical infrastructure networks.

All this will be enabled by the recent amendment to the resolution on the rules for managing real estate owned by the City Municipality of Bolesławiec. When an adjacent plot of land is sold or granted in perpetual usufruct, apartment owners or co-owners may acquire it without a tender, with a 90% discount on the property’s price. The costs of preparing the property for sale or for being granted in perpetual usufruct, as well as notarial and court fees, are borne by the purchasers in proportion to their ownership shares in the property.
