On Saturday evening, just before midnight, police officers noticed a Volkswagen driver behaving strangely. The car did not stop at stop signs and was not using its lights. The officers began a chase. The Volkswagen driver fled through the city center, including through the Rynek. The vehicle stopped near Forum cinema. It turned out that there were two men inside. One of them began to flee on foot, while one of the police officers detained the other.
Our camera recorded the chase in the Rynek. A second camera, in turn, recorded the situation in which one of the men was being led by a police officer along Sierpnia '80 Street. At one point, the man fell onto the pavement and lay there. Later, other police officers and an ambulance arrived at the scene. The man had suffered a head injury.
More information coming soon.
Update, 8:00 p.m.
