The incident occurred on Friday evening. After 10 p.m., smoke was noticed in a tenement building on Teatralna Street. A fire broke out in the basement.
All residents were evacuated. One of them told us that he owns the basement where fuel was stored and where the fire started. The man believes it was arson and that it was committed by a thief whom he chased away from the site two weeks ago.
Fortunately, no one was injured. Several people inhaled smoke. Four firefighting units and an ambulance were at the scene.
