The accident occurred on Thursday, 17 March, on the road between Brzeźnik and Parzyce. At around 6:00 a.m., the driver of an Audi, a 25-year-old resident of Nowogrodziec commune, performed an improper overtaking maneuver, forcing the driver of a Citroën traveling in the opposite direction to take evasive action.

Video from a Reader:

The latter vehicle, carrying four people, drove into a roadside ditch. Two Citroën passengers were injured and taken to hospital. They are in serious condition, but alive.

Interestingly, some of the reports from our forum users were confirmed. The two remaining people in the Citroën—the driver and a passenger—fled the scene, even though the Audi driver was responsible for the accident.

Police are investigating the incident, which will probably end up in court.
