Criminal investigators from Pieńsk identified and then detained a man suspected of damaging two cars. “The 42-year-old resident of Zgorzelec County, shooting a pneumatic pistol, damaged two vehicles parked on one of the streets in Węgliniec,” says comm. Agnieszka Goguł, press officer for the County Police Headquarters in Zgorzelec. “The windows of the cars were smashed and their bodywork was damaged. The victims estimated the total value of the damaged property at PLN 5,500.”
During a search of the suspect’s apartment, officers secured the pistol that the 42-year-old had used to commit the crime.
The suspect pleaded guilty. As a repeat offender, he now faces up to seven and a half years in prison.
