Bolesławiec criminal investigators detained a 43-year-old resident of Bolesławiec County suspected of four crimes: three bold thefts and one burglary of a store:
- In January 2022, the detained man approached a victim in a parking lot outside a store and demanded money from her, then snatched her handbag.
- Several days later, the perpetrator ran up to a woman walking along the pavement and tried to yank her handbag away, but this time he was unsuccessful.
- The next bold theft took place at the beginning of March. The 43-year-old approached a woman standing outside a restaurant. The perpetrator tore a gold chain from the victim’s neck and a handbag containing cash, cards and a mobile phone from her shoulder. (The chain was recovered).
Moreover, police proved that the detained man had broken into a store and stolen alcohol.
The man is a recidivist, so he could face up to 15 years in prison. At the prosecutor’s request, the court remanded the robber in temporary custody for three months.
