A crime occurred in the Gromadka municipality. The victim left the vehicle for a moment, leaving the keys in the ignition. When he returned, he realized that his vehicle had disappeared.
Criminal investigators from Bolesławiec, based on operational findings, quickly identified the suspect and caught him red-handed as he was unloading power tools from the stolen delivery van. (The 39-year-old thief’s target was the vehicle itself. Only later did he notice that valuable equipment was in the vehicle’s cargo area.)
Property worth PLN 18,000 was recovered in full, and the 39-year-old was charged. The man now faces up to five years in prison.
