Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the ongoing bloody war there have triggered a wave of international sanctions and a boycott of Russian goods and services.

Posts have also appeared on social media claiming that Amic petrol stations operating, among other places, in Poland (two such stations operate in Bolesławiec) are connected to the Lukoil group and Russian capital. Amic categorically denies these connections.

Statement by the AMIC Polska Management Board:

The management of AMIC Polska Sp. z o.o., based in Warsaw, declares that the company’s network of 116 Polish AMIC Energy petrol stations has no capital ties to the Lukoil group or to other business entities of the Russian Federation.

The company is owned by the Austrian investment fund AMIC Energy Management GmbH, based in Vienna, which in 2016 bought the network of petrol stations in Poland, Ukraine, Lithuania and Latvia from the oil group Lukoil.

AMIC Polska sells fuel supplied exclusively by the Polish PKN Orlen refinery. We employ more than one thousand people in Poland and pay taxes here.

We unequivocally condemn Russia’s brutal attack on Ukraine!

We stand in solidarity with the Ukrainian people, while also being deeply concerned about the fate of AMIC Energy station employees in Ukraine.
