Zbaraż in Ukraine is not currently affected by military operations; however, the city has prepared for and accepted refugees from areas entered by Russian occupying forces. Zbaraż Mayor Roman Polikrowski and the Zbaraż City Council are asking for assistance in purchasing essential supplies. The assistance concerns specific items that will be delivered to Zbaraż.

The City of Bolesławiec and the Bolesławiec County Office are announcing a targeted collection for the city of Zbaraż. The collection is held under the auspices of the Mayor of Bolesławiec and the Head of Bolesławiec County, in cooperation with organizations, associations and institutions from Bolesławiec and Bolesławiec County.

The collection begins on Monday, February 28, at 1:00 p.m. It will be held in three gyms: I General Secondary School at Tyrankiewiczów Street, II General Secondary School at Dolne Młyny Street, and Primary School No. 4 (formerly Primary School No. 2) at Bielska Street.

We appeal to residents, companies, institutions, organizations and associations to bring the listed items on weekdays from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Donations must be new and show no signs of use.

What we are collecting:

  • hygiene products,
  • mattresses, sleeping mats, blankets, sleeping bags, throws and bedding for evacuees;
  • backup power supplies (generators) with an output of 5 kW for operating radiation shelters and 15 kW for the uninterrupted operation of municipal waterworks;
  • communication and notification devices (walkie-talkies).

Supplies for assembling first-aid kits:

  • limb immobilization supplies,
  • sterilization boxes,
  • a monitor for invasive blood-pressure measurement,
  • a syringe pump,
  • portable ultrasound machines,
  • bactericidal filters for the respiratory system,
  • surgical instruments, surgical suture – No. 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5,
  • central venous catheterization sets, pleural drainage sets, Foley catheters, 6–8 incubator tubes, urinary catheters, sterile surgical sets,
  • wound dressings (gauze, bandages), plaster bandages, medical supplies (syringes, infusion cannulas – 20G and 22G, sterile and non-sterile gloves, adhesive tape),
  • hemostatic dressings, sponges, wipes, antiseptic, pain-relief and antibacterial agents, hemostatic agents, crystalloid and colloid solutions, albumin, and wound-care preparations (Dekasan, Chlorexidant, hydrogen peroxide, ethyl alcohol, Bedatin).
