In 2021, 521 birth certificates were registered at the Civil Registry Office in Bolesławiec. That is as many as 113 more than in 2020. The City Hall:

More girls or boys?

Slightly more girls than boys were born.

What were the most popular names?

The entries in the electronic civil-status registers show that parents most often gave their sons the name Antoni, Filip and Jakub. Next came: Mikołaj, Franciszek and Nikodem. The most frequently given names for daughters were: Zofia, Kaja, Lena, Oliwia, Zuzanna and Maria.

What about marriages?

The number of marriages increased slightly: in 2021, the Civil Registry Office drew up 235 marriage certificates (16 more than in 2020), including 40 certificates drawn up on the basis of foreign documents. A total of 105 couples had a civil wedding (including 3 outdoor weddings), while 90 couples opted for a church wedding.

The highest number of marriages was recorded during the summer months: in August (39), June (32), September (32) and July (27). The least popular months were November (3) and February (4).

What about divorces?

Last year, 94 divorces were recorded. This is 4 more divorces than the previous year, but as many as 38 fewer than two years earlier.

Still a high number of deaths

City Hall officials: – The number of deaths continues to rise. Last year, 952 death certificates were drawn up (227 more than the previous year and 266 more than two years earlier), including certificates for 14 people who died outside Poland.
