At the beginning of February, as a result of the temporary reduction of VAT on fuel from 23% to 8%, prices at filling stations throughout Poland fell by several dozen groszy. On February 1, at the PKN Orlen station on aleja Tysiąclecia in Bolesławiec, 95-octane petrol could be bought for PLN 5.22 per litre. Standard diesel fuel cost PLN 5.24, while LPG cost PLN 2.81.
On Saturday, February 12, we checked the prices, and fuel at the same Orlen station cost PLN 5.36 (95-octane petrol), PLN 5.38 (diesel fuel). The LPG price had not changed.
At the Shell station on Spółdzielcza Street, meanwhile, 95-octane petrol cost, on Saturday, February 12,PLN 5.38 per litre. Standard diesel fuel cost PLN 5.39 per litre. LPG, meanwhile, cost PLN 2.87.
