As reported by the Wrocław branch of the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways, during the night of 13–14 February this year, the first of three transports of sets of propeller blades for power turbines is planned. Road workers:
The logistical preparations for this undertaking will require, among other things, the dismantling of barriers, streetlights and road signs. The resulting disruptions on the A4 motorway, near the Kostomłoty interchange, will occur from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m..
They add:
For the duration of the oversized transport’s passage within the Kostomłoty interchange, at the intersection of the A4 motorway’s northern ramp with national road No. 5 and county road No. 2079D, traffic will be stopped.
Why? Because of the manoeuvres that the trucks will have to perform to leave the motorway. Three transports are expected during one night, and each will take place in a separate cycle after the preceding vehicle has completed its manoeuvre.
Is that the end of such disruptions?
Not at all. Further journeys to the wind farm will take place during the night of 16–17 February and from 18–19 February this year. GDDKiA:
We appeal to drivers to exercise particular caution.
