Bolesławiec criminal investigators determined that a vehicle originating from a theft might be located in one of the garages in the Nowogrodziec municipality.

The officers’ suspicions proved correct. A passenger car was parked in the garage of a detached house, bearing registration plates stolen the previous day in Zgorzelec County.
It turned out that not only were the plates fake; the vehicle itself, worth PLN 40,000, had been stolen several hours earlier in Liberec, and its owner… had not yet realized that his property had disappeared.
The thief was arrested. He is a 33-year-old resident of Bolesławiec County. The man will also answer for violating a court-imposed ban on driving motor vehicles and misappropriating an identity document.
The 33-year-old faces up to 10 years in prison.
