Bolesławiec traffic police, patrolling the Nowogrodziec municipality, stopped a passenger car for inspection. The officers wanted to check the vehicle’s technical condition.

It turned out that a 35-year-old resident of Lubań County was behind the wheel. He did not have a driving license.

What is more, the driver was behaving strangely, which immediately aroused the officers’ suspicions. And rightly so. Although a sobriety test was negative, it soon became clear that the man had got behind the wheel under the influence of drugs.

That was not the end of it, however. The officers also established that the vehicle driven by the intoxicated man was not approved for road use and did not have compulsory insurance.

The resident of the neighboring county now faces up to two years in prison.
