District police officers from the Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters detained a 37-year-old Ukrainian citizen suspected of violating the bodily integrity of a public official. County Police Headquarters:
The perpetrator first obstructed the work of the medical services assisting his friend and then struck a female paramedic in the face.
The aggressor was restrained by a second paramedic and then handed over to police officers called to the scene. The incident took place in a public area, in a car park by a shop.
At the time of his detention, the 37-year-old Ukrainian citizen had 4.8‰ of alcohol in his system. He has already been charged in the case. He was unable to rationally explain his behaviour. By court decision, he was fined and ordered to pay compensation to the victim.
A reader informed us about the entire matter on 18 January. As he reported, the situation took place on Saturday, 15 January, at around 9:30 p.m., on Generała Nila Street in Bolesławiec. The services were dispatched to an intoxicated man lying on the pavement.
The man in question was indeed under the influence of alcohol, but had no injuries. He did not require hospitalisation either. The police were called to the scene. (The aim was to establish the “injured” man’s place of residence and take him there.)
At that point, one of the witnesses to the incident, a Ukrainian citizen, became aggressive. Reader:
He began provoking the emergency medical team, closing the distance, verbally harassing them and nudging them with his elbow; he walked away and came back several times! At one point, as he passed the paramedic, he struck her cheek with an open hand.
He added that as early as Monday, 17 January, the aggressor appeared before the court and received a PLN 1,500 fine. The 37-year-old will also have to pay PLN 300 in compensation to the victim.
