You are a police officer around the clock. This time, Sergeant Olga Łukaszewicz proved it. She serves daily as the Press Officer at the District Police Headquarters in Lwówek Śląski.
The arrest took place on Sunday, January 16. As the officer mentioned above was returning from duty, she noticed a Renault that was moving as if its driver were under the influence of alcohol.
“The car moved onto the shoulder and then back into the middle of the road, narrowly avoiding causing a traffic accident,” Senior Sergeant R. Kościelny reports. “The policewoman seized the right moment when the vehicle stopped in a car park in front of a store in Wleń, ran up to it and prevented the driver from continuing.”
The Lwówek police spokesperson smelled alcohol on the driver. She immediately notified the duty officer about the entire incident.
It turned out that the arrested driver, a 34-year-old resident of Bolesławiec County, was completely drunk; a test showed more than 2‰ of alcohol in her system. The woman now faces up to two years in prison.
