Officers from the Bolesławiec traffic police, travelling in an unmarked police car, noticed a passenger-car driver crossing the pavement alongside a pedestrian crossing and then driving onto a roundabout.
– The vehicle was stopped by the officers – reports asp. szt. Anna Kublik-Rościszewska, press officer of the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec.
The 37-year-old resident of the City of Ceramics was behind the wheel. The spokesperson:
As it turned out, taking a shortcut was not the 37-year-old’s only offence. A sobriety test showed that the man had more than 0.5 per mille of alcohol in his breath.
The Bolesławiec resident now faces up to two years in prison.
