On 14 December 2021, the Ministry of Regional Development, Department of European Territorial Cooperation, based at Staroměstské náměstí 6, 110 15 Praha 1, approved the decision to award funding for a project implemented under the Interreg V-A Czech Republic – Poland programme, entitled “The ‘Blooming Meadows’ Cooperation Network”.
The funding was awarded in the amount of EUR 163,055.93.
The project will be implemented in two partner cities: Bolesławiec and Hrádek nad Nysą in the Czech Republic. Its aim will be to create flower meadows in both cities and establish the first Czech-Polish cooperation platform, “Blooming Meadows”. This network will cooperate with the emerging Czech-Saxon “Blooming Meadows” cooperation platform.
An important element of the project will also be activities aimed at showing residents of both cities examples of good practices for establishing and maintaining flower meadows.
The cooperating entity is the “Bolesławianka” Housing Cooperative.
The area of the flower meadows to be created in Bolesławiec will be 2.3 hectares. They will be located at the following sites:
- Głowackiego Street – Planty Miejskie,
- the boulevard along the Bóbr River,
- Murarska Street,
- Tysiąclecia Avenue,
- Gałczyńskiego Street,
- Jana Pawła II Street.
The project will be completed no later than 31 October 2023.
