We received a photo and a comment from a reader concerning an incident that took place in a residential zone, in a fenced residential parking area in front of an apartment block on Lubańska Street in Bolesławiec. Someone parked a heavy goods vehicle there.

It is true that the vehicle—a tractor unit—was without a trailer and parked in such a way that it did not restrict, block or impede traffic, but the reader simply asks: Could this nevertheless be the driver's cavalry fancy?

The point is not even whether a regulation was broken—for example, one concerning parking a vehicle of excessive weight and dimensions in a place not intended for it—but rather the very fact of manoeuvring such a large vehicle on a narrow road among the passenger cars parked there.

At the same time, we remind readers that if there is a serious suspicion that parking regulations have been violated, the police may be notified. Officers will then assess the specific situation and apply the appropriate procedures.
