The project includes the installation of 12 street-lighting poles and LED outdoor-lighting fixtures on brackets. The cost of constructing the street lighting is PLN 165,927. The funds come from the budget of the City of Bolesławiec. The contractor is Elektros Energetyka from Bolesławiec.

At Widok Street, along provincial road no. 350, traffic lights with a speed camera were installed at a pedestrian crossing. The basic scope of the project covered the design and construction of traffic lights at the pedestrian crossing along Widok Street near Bratków Street. The adaptive traffic-light system activates the pedestrian phase using pedestrian push buttons and includes a system disciplining drivers by temporarily stopping traffic in both directions when the detection system identifies a permissible speed of 40 km/h being exceeded. The traffic lights’ default operating state is a green light for vehicles.

The project also includes the installation of a board displaying the actual speed of passing vehicles. The board is located at the entrance to the city, along Widok Street. When vehicles pass at the permitted speed of 50 km/h, the display’s default operating state is a speed shown in green with a smiling face and the message “THANK YOU”. When vehicles pass at an impermissible speed above 50 km/h, the display’s default operating state is a speed shown in red with the message “SLOW DOWN”. The investors are the Municipality of Bolesławiec, in cooperation with the Lower Silesian Voivodeship. The contractor is ELECTRO-INVEST, based in Pisarzowice near Lubań.

The total cost of the project is PLN 147,600. The investment was financed 50% each (i.e. PLN 73,800) from the budget of the City of Bolesławiec and funds from the Lower Silesian Voivodeship.
