Bolesławiec police officers are encouraging children and young people to take part in a competition held as part of the “Safe Borderland for Seniors” project. To enter the competition, participants must record a 60-second TikTok on their social media account—a video informing viewers about threats to seniors’ safety and calling for compliance with rules concerning scams targeting older and lonely people.
Organizers:
The main aim of the competition is to educate the public about crime against older people. It is primarily about scams using the so-called “police officer” method. This knowledge should be promoted in order to reach seniors, especially those who live alone, are less active and do not engage socially. Another important objective of the competition is to involve children in creative activities for older people.
And they add:
We encourage all young people who are interested to take part in this educational activity. Prizes include wireless headphones, speakers, power banks and many others. Details can be found on our poster and on the website. The competition rules can be downloaded below the text.
Entries must be sent by 23 December 2021 to the following email address: oficer.prasowy@boleslawiec.wr.policja.gov.pl.
