Eight Stars and “PiS = High Prices.” Do the Residents of Bolesławiec Dislike PiS?

The “PiS = high prices” banner greets everyone driving along Bolesławiec’s old main road. The slogan is intended to draw Polish women’s and men’s attention to rising prices during the rule of Law and Justice. This is a banner that may make a particularly strong impression in December, before Christmas.

Several weeks earlier, an activist from the Bolesławiec Women’s Strike hung eight illuminated stars on another balcony in Bolesławiec. Last year, Bolesławiec also led the way in organizing anti-government demonstrations under the banner of the Women’s Strike.
