On Monday morning, 13 December, the Bolesławiec traffic police carried out intensified sobriety checks. KPP:
Almost 40 drivers were checked. Unfortunately, the result was positive twice, meaning that two drivers had alcohol in their systems.
The record holder was caught before 9:00 a.m. The 42-year-old resident of Bolesławiec municipality, who was transporting Christmas trees in a delivery van, had nearly one per mille of alcohol in his exhaled breath. He faces up to two years in prison.

The sobriety test also came back positive for a 36-year-old resident of Bolesławiec County. The man got behind the wheel after consuming alcohol.
Both drivers face losing their driving licences and financial penalties.
