One resident had seen him at the time he disappeared and indicated the direction he had taken. A group of officers from the Gryfów Police Station headed toward the mountains, in the direction of Świeradów, where at one point they found footwear prints in the snow on a trail.
At approximately 11:30 p.m., the missing man was tracked down and found in the middle of the forest. He was hypothermic and disoriented. He was immediately treated with a hypothermia kit from the group’s equipment and brought to the town, where he was handed over to emergency medical rescuers.
