Considering the experience so far with renovating railway facilities in Bolesławiec, there is no point in deluding ourselves that the reconstruction of the station building will be completed quickly. Nor is there any reason to trust the assurances of the authorities of the company managing railway properties. The renovation has already been under way for a year and a half. It was supposed to be completed in June, then in October. It is now mid-November... What do you think? Will they make it by the end of the year?
Let us recall that the first floor will be rented by the District Court in Jelenia Góra. The ground floor will certainly not surprise travelers, as its finish will refer to the original one from the beginning of the 20th century. Nevertheless, this floor will definitely be modernized. Multisensory boards for blind people, large displays showing train arrival and departure times, and—something that will surely please many—an upgraded public-address system will be installed.
For fans of two wheels, the fact that a bicycle room will be built on the site of the historic public toilet will surely be great news.
