Police officers from Kruszyn detained a man in whose living quarters and outbuildings they found nearly 1.2 kg of marijuana and several portions of methamphetamine. “While checking the 32-year-old’s place of residence, officers first found a bag containing a crystalline substance in the bedroom. They then secured a plastic package containing dried plant material on the staircase, and after entering the attic, they saw cannabis plants drying there,” explains asp. szt. Anna Kublik-Rościszewska, press officer for the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec.

Bolesławiec criminal investigators, meanwhile, found two plastic bags containing dried cannabis and a dryer in a garden shed used by the 31-year-old. The plants mentioned above were drying on it. Several portions of a white substance were also secured. (It later turned out that this was also methamphetamine.)

What is more, the 31-year-old, a resident of Warta Bolesławiecka municipality, turned out to be wanted and has already been sent to prison for six months.

In total, nearly 2.5 kg of drugs were seized. The spokesperson says:

Possession of narcotic substances carries a sentence of up to three years in prison, while possession of significant quantities carries a sentence of up to ten years in prison.

She adds:

Cultivating cannabis is punishable by up to three years in prison.
