Jarosław Kaczyński announces departure from the government

Deputy Prime Minister Jarosław Kaczyński is expected to resign from the government at the beginning of next year.

According to information from PAP, Kaczyński informed the party’s parliamentarians that he would resign from serving in the government at the beginning of next year. He stressed that the decision was prompted by the need for greater control over the party.

“The president indicated that, because of his position as deputy prime minister, he appears at the party headquarters once a week and that this is insufficient,” one PiS MP told PAP.
