The Citroën driver had no intention of stopping, however. On the contrary, he accelerated and began to flee. The result? He caused a collision with an Opel, as a result of which he tore off the mirror of his own car.

The escape did not get him very far. After a few minutes, the 37-year-old resident of Zgorzelec County fell into the hands of the uniformed officers.

Why was he fleeing? It turned out that the 37-year-old did not have a driving licence, while the vehicle he was driving was not road-legal and did not have compulsory insurance. What is more, the driver was under the influence of methamphetamine. He now faces up to five years in prison.
