On Sunday (22 August 2021), as part of the Bolesławiec Ceramic Festival, the Municipal Sports and Recreation Centre in Bolesławiec traditionally organised the “Bolesławiec Stair Run – Run for a Ceramic Cup”. This year, the run took place in the amphitheatre of the H. Bonin Park at Tyrankiewiczów Street.
For the 20th time, the event enjoyed unwavering interest from residents and visitors attending the Bolesławiec Ceramic Festival. More than 60 competitors took up the challenge, having to cover a distance of around 120 steps. Each participant kept a ceramic cup as a souvenir at the finish line.
The starts of the individual competitors took place in a friendly atmosphere, with mutual encouragement. At the end, participants were awarded prizes in age categories and in the overall classification. Consolation prizes, drawn among all competitors, were also presented, and those whose cups had not lost any water received the so-called ecological distinction. The winners received their prizes from Bolesławiec Mayor Piotr Roman together with representatives of the City Council.
