Bolesłavia:
The Polish U23 Championships held in Suwałki proved successful for four of our athletes. Gracjan Kozak has the greatest reasons to be pleased, winning two silver medals: in the shot put (17.56 m) and discus throw (50.91 m). The other members of our team also performed very well. Martyna Olszowy finished 7th in the javelin throw, achieving her best result of the season: 39.22 m, while our high jumpers—Mateusz Tofil and Dawid Bałut—also improved their best results of the year, jumping 206 cm and 198 cm, respectively, and finishing 4th and 8th in the final.
Martyna and Gracjan are coached by Tomasz Markowski, while Dawid and Mateusz are coached by Paweł Wiśniewski.
Tomasz Markowski:
In the points classification, our club finished 17th in Poland out of nearly 100 ranked clubs.

The club sums up:
The summer season can be considered successful. Three Polish Championship medals and 117 points in the Sports System for Children and Youth are a very good result. We are still awaiting the appearances of the youngest, 15-year-old athletes, who will compete in the macroregion in mid-September. The best will qualify for the Polish Youth Championships, which will be held in Karpacz at the end of September.
The final event of the season will be cross-country races, followed only by a summary. We congratulate the older athletes and wish the younger ones success.
And he adds:
We thank the Commander of the 23rd Artillery Regiment, Col. Marek Wasielewski, for allowing Gracjan Kozak, a soldier of our Unit, to compete in the Polish Championships.
