The incident occurred on Saturday evening (July 31). As reported by the website lwowecki.info the 57-year-old had reportedly earlier bet that he could swim across a pond where swimming is prohibited (signs provide information about this).
After entering the water, the man began to drown. Witnesses to the incident pulled him out of the water.
The man was resuscitated by firefighters and then taken to hospital.
