Artillerymen:
Our soldiers dominated the patrol run competition this year, taking first place in the final championship standings and first place in the team run.
The 23rd Silesian Artillery Regiment from Bolesławiec was represented by:
- Sgt. Kamil Makoś,
- Senior Private Krzysztof Bondrow,
- Private Szymon Halczak
- Private Łukasz Klatka.
After the first day of competition, during which the individual runs were held, the Bolesławiec team was nine points behind the defending champions, the 10th Armoured Cavalry Brigade from Świętoszów.
Bolesławiec artillerymen:
The following day, the team run was held, in which our representatives started the race alongside the team from Świętoszów. After completing the Physical Fitness Centre course and covering a distance of 2 km, both teams entered the firing ranges together, and the final standings were decided by military pistol shooting. Our artillerymen handled this task better, ultimately defeating the armoured soldiers from Świętoszów by four points. This was the first victory in this difficult and demanding event for the 23rd Artillery Regiment.
And they add:
Until now, the best achievement had been third place.
