The incident occurred on Sunday, 6 June. Emergency services arrived at one of the tenement buildings on Bolesławiec’s market square after being alerted by neighbours of an elderly woman living there.
The cause for concern was an unpleasant smell in the staircase. The services forced their way into the apartment.
Fortunately, the alarm turned out to be false. The elderly woman was unharmed. A PSP Bolesławiec crew, an emergency medical team and the police were at the scene.
