On Friday, a reader informed us that bollards had been installed in parking spaces on Żwirki i Wigury Street. It was impossible to park in front of the buildings.

We reported the problem to the City Hall. Today, we received a response from the spokesperson.

“The company installed the bollards by mistake; they were not included in the order. We apologize to residents,” says Agnieszka Gergont from Bolesławiec City Hall.

We checked the parking area today, and the bollards are no longer there.

Paid Parking Zone

In the City of Ceramics, work is under way to implement a new traffic organization in the area covered by the Paid Parking Zone.

The most important elements of traffic organization on Bolesławiec’s streets will remain unchanged. The key action in these areas will be to organize parking. Above all, this means preventing vehicles from stopping too close to intersections and pedestrian crossings, as well as clearing pavements obstructed by parked cars.

One of the more important changes will be the “reversal of traffic” on Adama Mickiewicza and Sierpnia ’80 streets. On the remaining streets, the existing traffic directions and parking arrangements will be maintained.

Work on all the streets should be completed by July. That is also when we will start paying for parking in the Zone.
