The Holidays Are Above All a Religious Experience

In mid-December 2009, we asked Readers to indicate what Christmas means to them. Over four weeks, 796 votes were cast in the poll. 44% of voters believe that the holiday season is primarily religious in nature for them. 30% believe that the holidays are above all a time for meeting with loved ones. For 20% of poll participants, they mean several days off work. The fewest voters (6%) consider the holiday season an opportunity to relax and go on vacation.

The ranking results indicate that the residents of Bolesławiec spend the holiday season in a traditional way. The holidays have a religious and family dimension for them. For one-fifth of voters, the greatest advantage of the holidays is that they do not have to go to work for several days. A small proportion of voters (6%) believe that the holidays are an opportunity to go on a vacation.

Thank you to everyone who cast their votes. At the same time, we invite you to vote in the next poll. This time, we are asking Readers to assess this year's finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity in Bolesławiec and Bolesławiec County. The poll is available on the service's home page and below.
