The 2021 season did not begin quickly for Pirat’s competitors because the club was dealing with a change of base. Despite the problems, however, they managed to begin training so they could compete. There was little time, though, and some competitors took to the water for the first time this season during the regatta itself. Competitors took part in the Optimist, Laser 4.7 and Laser Radial classes.

Jakub Stański had an excellent start, just as in autumn 2020, giving his rivals no chance. Some competitors changed boat classes because of their age and physical conditions and have their first starts in a new class behind them. One of the competitors who started in a new class is Hanna Wróbel, who took second place in the Laser 4.7 class, finishing just behind Maximilian Sitek. Jakub Adamowicz

competed in the Laser Radial class and, after moving to the new class, cannot call his start a successful one.

The competitors train under the supervision of Jakub Jakubowski, who is supported by experienced former competitor of KS Turów Zgorzelec Dawid Poznański, who shares his knowledge and skills with Pirat’s young competitors.

This weekend was also a test of the skills of the older competitors in the Laser 4.7 and Laser Radial classes. The competitors are travelling to Lake Kierskie. We wish them success and plenty of favorable winds.
