We reported on the dispute over the containers in November 2022. At that time, Uczniowski Klub Żeglarski Pirat Bolesławiec announced that, unable to reach an agreement with the new owners of the Krępnica reservoir, it had decided to leave and take its sailing equipment and containers from the base where it had operated.
Unfortunately, as Pirat reported, this was not without problems. The sailing equipment was successfully removed with police assistance. The containers remained on site and were secured by officers. There was a dispute over the containers. The case was before the prosecutor’s office. UKŻ Pirat Bolesławiec commodore Jakub Jakubowski announced that he would pursue the matter of the containers in court.
Since March 2023, the club has been using a new base in Jezierzany near Legnica. Pirat sailors can also be found on Berzdorfer See, right by the border with Germany, near Görlitz.
On 19 February 2024, the following information appeared on UKŻ Pirat Bolesławiec’s Facebook profile:
Unfortunately, despite a final court judgment, to this day we have been unable to recover our property.
On 7 June 2023, the District Court in Bolesławiec ordered that the equipment be handed over to the sailing clubs, but the person to whom the equipment had been entrusted for safekeeping has still not done so.
The club initially tried to recover the equipment amicably, but the manner in which this was to be done was unacceptable to our club. The matter was referred to a bailiff.
As we know, bailiff proceedings are subject to time limits, so we armed ourselves with patience and waited for the matter to be resolved.
Another date for the bailiff’s actions was set for 16 February 2024.
The bailiff, accompanied by police officers, and members of the sailing clubs arrived to collect the equipment, but this could not be done because there was a hole in the ground on the access road to the sailing base, preventing heavy equipment from passing, while a dozen or so 8–10-metre trees stood in front of the entrance gate to the clubs’ grounds, preventing the equipment from being removed.
Those trees were not there about two months ago.
We will leave the rest without comment...
