Kliczków is located in the southern part of the Lower Silesian Wilderness, approximately 14 km by road from Bolesławiec. One of the most interesting castles in Lower Silesia is located there and bears the same name: Kliczków Castle, whose history dates back to 1297, while the legends associated with it reach as far back as the time of Duke Mieszko.
Kliczków Castle was established as one of many border strongholds built in the 1190s, funded by Bolko I the Strict, the most powerful Silesian duke.
