As reported by the Legnica Municipal Police:
The duty officer of the Municipal Police received a telephone report from the Fire Service that a snake was in the bathroom of an apartment on Gwiezdna Street.
A specialist-intervention patrol was sent to the scene and caught the reptile. It turned out to be a corn snake measuring over 1.5 metres. The officers asked local residents whether it had escaped from anyone.
By decision of municipal officials, the reptile was placed in temporary care.

We report that the reptile’s owner has been found and was fined for failing to take the required safety precautions.
