The incident occurred on April 17. – After 6 p.m., the duty officer at the District Police Headquarters in Lwówek Śląski received a report about a man being bitten by a dog outside one of the supermarkets in Lwówek Śląski – Sergeant lwowecki.infoOlga Łukasewicz, the press officer for the local police, told the website.

The spokesperson added:

The man, clearly under the influence of alcohol, stole alcohol from one of the supermarkets in Lwówek Śląski. He then left the store and teased a dog tied up at the side of the building, as a result of which he was bitten on the nose.

The 25-year-old man was taken to hospital. Procedures are under way to clarify the circumstances of the entire incident. Let us recall that theft may carry a sentence of between three months and as many as five years in prison.

Update

The injured man was not tested for alcohol in his system. As the spokesperson for the Lwówek police informed us, at the moment he was bitten by the dog, the 25-year-old broke the bottle of alcohol stolen from the store.
