Bolesławiec criminal investigators, during nighttime operations, caught a man red-handed as he broke into a truck’s fuel tank and stole 250 liters of fuel. (A hose for draining fuel and several already-filled canisters were secured near the vehicle.)

In addition, the officers proved that the suspect had committed four other offenses in Bolesławiec County. All of them involved breaking into truck fuel tanks and stealing from them.
The 40-year-old resident of Gromadka municipality was charged with five offenses. The man admitted guilt and gave an explanation.

In total, the perpetrator stole 1,000 liters of diesel fuel worth more than PLN 4,000.
The 40-year-old now faces a sentence of between one and as many as ten years in prison.
